The Seoul system has glass barriers and sliding doors higher than a person. These countries also have some of the highest suicide rates in the world. In addition to the cost of fitting doors to every platform, there’s also the fact these barriers would impeded quick exit in case of an emergency, such as a subway fire.

It is supposed to be an art sculpture. The GW bridge is THE busiest motor vehicle in the ENTIRE world. It is also the only way for pedestrians and cyclists from New Jersey to enter Manhattan because the other entrances are tunnels.

But yet the same safety panel wants to close and demolish the Vessel after 4 suicides. It does not deter people from using the subway and the city has shown little concern to increase safety measures in any way.

The panels with the cut outs throughout the entire structure might even add some artistic attribute to it.
